Art Squared in a summer camp that provides an engaging, educational, and fun way to experience the arts. The camp is led by a team of talented artists.

Acting and Musical Theatre Intensive: 

​

The Acting and Musical Theatre Intensive is a two-week acting and musical theatre program that provides a small group of students, grades 7-12, the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a professional theatre setting and produce a full-length play or musical. Students work with professional directors and choreographers.

Tech Crew Intensive:

​

Tech crew is perfect for any students interested in the area of technical theatre. Tech Crew Intensive provides students the opportunity to contribute to the design of lights, set, sounds, and other technical elements of production. 

​

• Set Design

Summer Musical:

 

The summer musical provides students the opportunity to get involved with the theatre. This is a hands-on theatre education program, led by a team of art professionals. The group meets regularly to produce and rehearse the summer musical, which will be part of the Highwood Theatre's shows offered.

Artist in Training:

​

Offered to all students in grades 7-12. Students participating in Artists in Training are essentially receiving training and serving as counselor for the Art Squared camp. Older students enjoy working with kids and gain experience with teaching.

Extended AM/PM:

​

The Extended AM starts anytime between 8 AM and 9 AM. Students enjoy puzzles, board games, and other activities led by counselors or teachers.

 

The Extended PM occurs 3:30 to 5 PM. Students work on an independent study project of their choice - this could be a project in class, technical theatre work for one of our shows, or working with a teacher or counselor in a chosen area of interest. Extended PM students receive a small snack.
