The Highwood Theatre is a not-for-profit organization located in the heart of downtown Silver Spring, Maryland. Kevin Kearney discovered a lack of theatre opportunities for students in Montgomery County Schools. With a passion for the performing arts and drive to bring theatre to the community, Kearney founded the Highwood Theatre in 2004.  

The Highwood Theatre is a performing arts theatre, offering a variety of programs for both students and adults. From production company to tech crew, to private lessons and school field trips, the Highwood Theatre is dedicated to growing your involvement in the theatre and providing enriching experiences to help learn and reach your goals. 

At the Highwood Theatre, we encourage all ages and experience levels to get involved in the theatre and collaboratively work together in the production of a show. We are dedicated to building the community through theatre.
