At the Highwood Theatre, we offer affordable space rentals to local artists and groups.

• Base hourly rates for rental spaces, as well as special rates for any type of public performance.

• For all spaces, access to audio/visual and other technical equipment as well as a digital piano is available for an additional fee.

 

Available Spaces:

 

Open Source Studio:

Size: 800 square feet, seats 35-40  
Room Dimensions: 20' x 40' x 10' (grid height)
Hourly Rate: $25/hour
Public Performance Rate: $150 for 5-hour performance-block
Includes: Staff member at box office, lighting/sound equipment (minimum guaranteed inventory), wireless internet, adjacent Open Source Lobby and adjacent Open Source Green Room), access to additional audio/visual equipment (additional fee)
Custom Lighting Plot: $250

Custom Configuration: $225

 

Black Box Theatre:

Size: 2,200 square feet, seats around 70 depending on configuration. 
Room Dimensions: 40' x 55' x 10' (grid height)
Hourly Rate: $50/hour
Public Performance Rate: $305 for 5-hour performance-block
Includes: Staff member at box office, lighting/sound equipment (minimum guaranteed inventory), wireless internet, access to adjacent small lobby, access to additional audio/visual equipment (additional fee)
Custom Stage/Audience Configuration: $700
Custom Lighting Plot: $500

 

Recital Hall/Large Rehearsal Room:

Size: 1,230 square feet, seats 50+. 
Room Dimensions: 30' x 41' x 10' (grid height)
Hourly Rate: $35/hour
Public Performance Rate: $225 for 5-hour performance-block
Includes: Staff member at box office, lighting/sound equipment (minimum guaranteed inventory), wireless internet, adjacent storage room, and access to lobby, access to additional audio/visual equipment (additional fee)
Note: Renting groups cannot leave stage sets in this space - all sets and chairs must be completely struck following each day of the rental.  Storage space can be rented depending on availability.
Additional Stage Lighting: Per fixture price, subject to availability

 

Rehearsal Room:

Size: 480 square feet, rehearsal for up to 20 or small staged readings/recitals for 25 audience members
Dimensions: 16' x 30'
Hourly Rate: $22/hour
Includes: wireless internet, limited number of chairs/tables upon request, large whiteboard, basic lighting (minimum guaranteed inventory), access to audio/visual equipment (additional fee)
Additional Stage Lighting: $65

 

Private Lesson Classrooms:

Size: 160 square feet - private lessons or instruction for 1-5 people

Hourly Rate: $12/hour
